Sound healing is a wellness practice that uses specific instruments--like singing bowls, gongs, or tuning forks--to create sound vibrations that help the body and mind enter a state of deep relaxation. It's essentially a 'massage' for your nervous system using sound waves instead of physical touch.

This ancient healing modality has been around for thousands of years, passed down in a myriad of different forms through cultures all around the globe. Dating as far back as 40,000 years in Aboriginal Australia with the indigenous peoples' use of the didgeridoo to heal body and spirit, to the 'hekau' (words of power) of Ancient Egypt that required correct intonation and emphasis in order to be fully effective, humanity has long known the intrinsic power that vibrations have within our bodies, both physical and energetic. These two examples barely scratch the surface of vibrational healing in our human history, and I encourage you to dig deeper if you feel so inclined!
